Articulated Gate Opener

Where the articulated arms work well is there flexibility in the mounting positions, mainly the (C) measurement shown in the manuals vai the relevant links on the product pages. This means they can be installed on the back face of a post with the hinge up to 320mm set back on the side face, which back mounted rams cannot do as they normally have the capacity to go back no more than 100mm. however Articulated arms do require more space to the side of the post as the elbow that connects the two arms needs somewhere to move into when opening, so this needs taking into consideration when selecting your automation.  

The articulated arm system is a convenient type of gate automation. An articulated gate opener is a two-piece arm : the gate motor is usually attached to the gate post. The end of the arm is connected to the gate. This is a simplistic design which makes it easy to use and to install.
